For all Earebel products we only use high quality materials. The selection of our wool yarns in particular is subject to the strictest quality and ethical controls.

The wool we mainly use for our handmade PRIME collection pure new wool of noble quality, which is specially made for Earebel. Pure new wool has exceptional thermoregulation properties, f.e. it keeps wonderfully warm, is naturally water-repellent and nevertheless moisture is optimally absorbed.

The yarns of our functional SPORT collection are not only called functional materials, they are! Breathability, fast moisture transport, lightweight and fast-drying are just some of the properties all our functional sport products offer.

The products of our STYLE collection are mainly made of acrylic fibers. The acrylic fiber has similar properties to wool. Acrylic fibers are soft, light and feel warm and wool-like. In addition, acrylic fibers are more resilient than other natural and synthetic fibers. They are washable and hypoallergenic and therefore also suitable for allergy sufferers.

Polycolon®
POLYCOLON® - The lightest functional fibre in the world
POLYCOLON® has become essential to the world of demanding sports clothing. Lightweight, breathable, sweat-repellent and easy to care for - just a few of the strenghts demonstrated by this functional fibre from Schoeller. POLYCOLON®'s excellent properties mean it is also attractive for use in rugged workwear. POLYCOLON® is a refined, polyprophylene-based, worsted-spun long-staple yarn.

Polycolon® functionsAs the first layer, POLYCOLON®  awicks moisture away from the skin and transports it to the second layer above. This second layer can absorb or channel off the moisture, or allow it to evaporate. In all three cases, the material feels comfortably dry on the skin, even when the wearer is sweating. Unlike polyester, POLYCOLON® absorbs practically no moisture.

Polartec® Logo

POLARTEC
Polartec® POWER DRY® - Moisture Management
Polartec® Power Dry® is the most advanced next-to-skin moisture management fabric. Polartec®’s proprietary bi-component construction increases mechanical wicking, meaning performance is built-in for the life of the fabric. By using Polartec®’s proprietary bi-component knit construction, every fiber works with maximum efficiency. Moisture is quickly pulled away from the body and transferred to the outer surface for faster evaporation during activity.

  • Bi-Component knit
  • Superior wicking
  • Fast drying
  • Highly breathable
  • Lightweight
  • Odor resistant

This bi-component fabric technology is constructed with a hydrophilic interior to pull moisture away from the skin and transfer it to the outer layer. Power Dry®’s exterior surface area disperses and releases this moisture for more efficient dry times. Contnuous evaporation prevents saturation and regulates temperatures in both hot and cold conditions.

100% Virgin Wool

100% Virgin Wool
The advantages of virgin wool are its high dimensional stability and thermoregulation attributes. Virgin wool, in contrast to synthetic fibers, does not absorb many odours (e.g. sweat) and has a natural self-cleaning function - the absorbed odour is released back into the air, the wool smells neutral and fresh again after a short aeration. It can chemically bind sweat and thus neutralises it for a long time.
